If you are a fan of animated aquariums, Aquarium Screensaver offers you the possibility to put one that has a colorful design right on your desktop. The application provides two viewing modes: as a screensaver or as a wallpaper.

However, keep in mind that even though the app will act as a screensaver it will not integrate with your System Preferences and will not require your password after activation even if you make the necessary system settings.

Aquarium Screensaver will place an icon in your status bar that allows you to quickly enable the animation or to access its customization options. You can choose to show a 12 or 24 hours clock, enable or disable the sound effects or decide to launch the app at login.

The same area allows you to adjust the delay option for the screensaver activation and gives you the possibility to specify where you want to see the app’s icon (Dock, menu bar, Dock and menubar).

In addition, in the Fish panel you can choose the species that should roam your aquarium: Ocellaris Clownfish, Peppermint Butterfly, Threadfin Butterflyfish, Masked Butterfly, Picassofish, Flame Angelfish, Three Stripe Damsel, Regal Tang, Moorish Idol, Clown Triggerfish, Striped Surgeon, Boxfish, Yellow Tang, Seahorse, Longnose Butterflyfish.

What’s more, in the Environment tab you can easily select the background image that should be used.
